The new law: Separating Myth from Fact

The new bankruptcy law got a lot of press upon taking effect in October of 2005. Unfortunately, due to a number of reasons, the truth about the new law is only now starting to get out. Many of my clients are pleasantly surprised to learn that the result they will obtain under the new law is exactly the same result they would have obtained under the old law. New requirements of the Debtor, including completion of a credit counseling course prior to filing your case, and a new test to determine a Debtor's eligibility to file for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy are some of the changes. However, with help from an experienced and knowledgeable attorney, it is entirely possible to obtain relief from your debt and get a fresh start on your finances. Our firm is committed to showing you how.
